School and Youth Services

TWC has worked alongside schools in order to provide learning opportunities for individual students. Restorative Justice provides more than a consequence for “bad” behavior. Instead, it focuses on the impact of the behavior, educating the offender, and restoring the community.

TWC works with cooperating schools based on individual school needs. Part of this includes diversity clubs where TWC members work alongside a teacher-leader in order to facilitate discussions, activities, and proactive engagement in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.

Here is where we can share information about what we can do to help school staff with DEI.

TWC provides scholarships to graduates who participate in an essay writing contest on a topic related to social responsibility for all Americans grounded in the lessons learned by exploring cultural competence and social justice in America. The essays are evaluated and scored with a rubric by members of the Together We Can group without knowing the authors’ identities.
